Does lack of vision lead to death by exhaustion?

It is written that without vision, the people perish. Does this assume that vision is the key to survival, or at least the key to not dying from the exhaustion that will inevitably come from a nomadic internal life? JC and B-Mic Roc OD on if lack of vision leads to death by exhaustion.
